New Review - Carbon Copy Cloner 3.1

When Apple moved from OS 9 to OS X, we lost the ability to easily make bootable copies of our systems. Mike Bombich stepped in and created Carbon Copy Cloner, one of the original cloning tools for making a copy of a startup drive.

Now at version 3.1, Carbon Copy Cloner offers an interface that’s easier to use, as well as full integration of scheduling and other options that once required the use of third-party products.

Did Carbon Copy Cloner manage to make the leap from techie tool to something that even beginners can use? That was just one of the questions I wanted to answer when I tested the program. Find out how well Carbon Copy Cloner 3.1 performed in the Focus on Macs review.
