Apple Updates OS X to Version 10.5.3

Wednesday May 28, 2008

Apple today released Mac OS X 10.5.3, the latest update for Leopard. According to Apple’s web site, 10.5.3 fixes more than 69 known bugs. The actual number of bug fixes is probably much higher; some individuals involved in the beta testing claim that nearly 200 problems were corrected.

With so much attention paid to stability and general performance issues, 10.5.3 should be a highly stable version of Leopard. I’m looking forward to testing it.

The OS X 10.5.3 update is recommended for any Leopard (10.5.x) user, and is available through Apple’s Software Update service, which is located in the Apple menu. The update is also available from the Downloads section of the Apple web site.
