WALL-E is a Mac
WALL-E, the latest animation from Disney/Pixar, opened to rave reviews, which is by no means unusual for Pixar. It’s also not unusual to find evidence of Apple’s influence in a Pixar film. If you look closely, you’ll spot a first-generation iPod among WALL-E’s treasures. And that strangely familiar sound WALL-E makes when he boots up? It’s a Mac startup chime.
Among other points of interest, Jonathan Ives, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Industrial Design, is listed as the designer of EVE, WALL-E’s love interest. Steve Jobs gets a credit in the film, too.
Let us know what Apple tie-ins you spot while watching WALL-E.
