Remote Desktop Connection Client 2 Released by Microsoft

Wednesday July 2, 2008

One of the hidden gems that Microsoft provides for Macintosh users is its RDC (Remote Desktop Connection) client. This application lets you connect to any Windows XP or Vista computer and display its desktop on your Mac. You can access and use the remote Windows desktop as if you were sitting at that computer’s screen.

The original version of RDC was an obvious port of a Windows application to the Mac, but RDC Client 2 has an improved user interface that makes it more Mac-like. New features include the ability to print from a Windows application to your Mac printer, and multi-session capabilities, which allow you to access multiple Windows desktops simultaneously.

Remote Desktop Connection Client 2 is a free download from Microsoft’s Mactopia web site.
