iTunes University and a Rainy Weekend
I tend to launch iTunes at least once a day, if not more often. This is especially true on a weekend like this one - wet, dreary, and punctuated by occasional claps of thunder. In other words, a typical New England summer weekend. I mostly use iTunes to listen to music, or watch the occasional TV show or movie, but I also enjoy iTunes University.

Part of the iTunes Store, iTunes U carries podcasts, movies, lectures, and other course content from colleges and universities. You can take part in courses offered by MIT, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Open University, or 70 other institutes of higher learning. You’ll also find content from PBS, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Smithsonian, among others. Best of all, almost all of the content on iTunes U is free.
So, how did I spend my rainy summer weekend? Well, I spent part of it listening to Walter Lewin, one of my favorite lecturers from MIT, and his courses in Physics 1 and Electricity and Magnetism, which seemed appropriate amid a day of thunderstorms.
If you haven’t yet experienced iTunes U, I highly recommend checking it out. Launch iTunes, select the iTunes Store, and then select iTunes U from the list of available stores. There’s plenty of great content to pick from, so have fun!
