Apple TV 2.2 Released

Apple has updated Apple TV to version 2.2. The new version includes a few security updates, and adds Genius playlist capabilities.

Other updates include:

• Movie browsing by actor and director
• Chapter selection
• Movie descriptions available when playing a movie
• User-created music videos

That last item may particularly appeal to music fans. You can use iTunes to create playlists that combine your favorite music with your favorite videos and view them with Apple TV.

You can install the Apple TV update by accessing the Update Software menu in the Apple TV settings.
