CodeWeaver CrossOver Giveaway: Today Only

Tuesday October 28, 2008

CrossOver is a method of running Windows applications on a Mac, without running a copy of the Windows OS itself. CrossOver performs this nifty little trick by mimicking the Windows APIs (application programming interfaces) that Windows applications use. Thus, the Window application thinks it’s running under Windows when in fact it’s running under the Mac OS.

CodeWeaver, the developer of CrossOver, promised that if gas prices fell to $2.79 per gallon or less in the Twin Cities area, home of CodeWeaver, it would give away free licenses to its popular CrossOver application.

The offer ends at midnight tonight, so don’t delay requesting your free license.

Please note: Due to the popularity of the giveaway, the CodeWeaver web site is having some problems. As a result, your free license request may not be fulfilled for a few days.

Well I don’t own either Mac or Linux ( I am solely on a Windows box/crate/bucket), but one never knows… So I decided to download too (Maybe I’ll need them in the future)
