Macworld Expo Loses Another Vendor
Belkin has joined the ranks of Adobe and abandoned the Macworld Expo exhibit floor. It’s believed the company had already paid for its booth space. Instead, Belkin will hold private meetings at Macworld with its channel partners.
It’s not unusual for companies to horde their marketing budget during trying economic times, but what is unusual is that Belkin had already committed to the Macworld show, paying in advance for its exhibit space. This fee usually isn’t refundable, unless of course Macworld Expo wishes to be generous, or has a waiting list of ready participants who would like to use Belkin’s premium spot.
Belkin also pulled out of the CES 2009 (Consumer Electronics Show) event in Las Vegas, and will hold private meetings with its partners at that show.
