iPhone 3G Available at Discount Pricing

Both Best Buy and AT&T are offering last-minute holiday deals on the iPhone 3G. Best Buy is offering the 8 GB model for $190, and the 16 GB model for $290; standard two-year contract required for both models. Best Buy can also activate the iPhone directly in the store, so you can walk out with a working phone.

AT&T is offering an even larger discount: $50 off the standard $199 and $299 prices. However, AT&T’s deal is limited to refurbished iPhones that have been returned to Apple due either to defects or buyer remorse. All of the refurbed iPhones carry a new Apple warranty.

Best Buy will offer the discount pricing through December 31, while AT&T’s offer depends on the availability of refurbed iPhones.
