Apple Confirms September 9th Media Event

With an email invitation Apple has confirmed the suspected September 9^th media event. Invitations include a silhouetted iPod touch image, which suggests that iPods and iTunes will be the focus of the event, and the phrase “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it.”

The date, September 9^th, coincides with the release of the remastered Beatles catalog, leading some to think we will finally see Beatles offerings at the iTunes Store. I’m not holding my breath on that last rumor, if only because if it’s true, I’d be tempted to purchase the remastered iTunes versions.
