Over at Sophos, a maker of security products, Graham Cluley has been diligent about keeping his Mac up to date, not surprising for someone obsessed with security. But Graham was a little taken aback after he upgraded to Snow Leopard only to discover that Apple is shipping Snow Leopard with an outdated version of Adobe’s Flash player.

The current version of Flash includes some much needed security patches; the version shipping with Snow Leopard is missing the latest updates. Graham thinks it would be a good idea for any Snow leopard user to run, not walk, to the Adobe web site and update the Flash player to the most current version.

I agree with Graham, and it is easy to do the update. Just head over to the Flash download site, click the ‘Install’ button, and follow the instructions. Essentially, just close all your browsers before you proceed, and you will be up to date in a minute or two.
