If you’re following the latest iMac rumors, you’ve probably heard that new iMacs are coming along that will be “cheaper” and “thinner.” That’s not much to go on. The Mac pundits are busy making their guesses about what new features the new iMacs will include, but I’d like to hear what About: Macs readers would like to see in new iMacs.

With that in mind, I put together a list of possible improvements and new features. Let us know which ones you would like to see!
I would like the new iMac to be optionally transportable.
That is, I would like to be able to remove the supporting stand, slip the iMac (sans stand) in a bag to be placed in a plane’s overhead compartment. The stand could travel in my checked luggage.
I (very) occasionally move my “office” from one location to a remote other. The traveling bag that I currently use for my iMac G5 is too big for some planes’ overhead.
Looks like the new iMac definitely will be too big.
