Which Version of OS X Are You Using?

Monday November 9, 2009

It's been just about a month and half since Apple released Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6). In that time, Snow Leopard sales have outperformed both Leopard and Tiger, making it one of the best-selling versions of OS X.

I made the changeover the day Snow Leopard was released, and I've been able to make it my daily work platform. I only fire up Leopard or Tiger when I need to confirm information for articles or tips for About: Macs.

I am very satisfied with OS X 10.6, and I was wondering how many About: Macs readers have made the switch. I know some of you use multiple operating systems; for the purpose of this poll, please select the OS you use most often.

I am quite frustrated with Snow Leopard as are all my friends, because none of us can scan since we upgraded and there have been no real solutions provided by Apple.

One of my 2 Macs is a G5 iMac and I use it as much or more than my Intel MBP, so I’ll be using Leopard (and Photoshop CS3) as long as the G5 holds out, I can’t afford a new computer just to run new software that doesn’t have a compelling “Wow” factor.

Quicktime X will sometimes leave the audio out when doing a file conversion and my scanner only sometimes gets recognized. I never had these problems with Leopard. I just cant believe apple has not fixed these problems yet.
