Power Manager from DssW is an automation application for the Mac that can control and schedule power on/off and sleep events. Power Manager allows you to create events that can be scheduled to occur at precise times or when specific events occur.

Power Manager

Power Manager can run scripts and applications at specific times, letting you create custom backup plans, sleep or shutdown your Mac when inactive, or even just simply log off the current user. You can even manage the Power Manager schedule remotely with your iPhone or other iOS device.

Power Manager runs as a preference pane within System Preferences. It includes a built-in scheduling assistant that helps you easily create complex automation schedules for your Mac. One of the built-in functions that I think many will like is the ability to mirror files or folders to another location at any scheduled time you want. This means you can easily create working backups of important files and folders daily.

Power Manager gives you so much more control over your Mac's built-in Energy Saver preference pane that once you give it a try, you may not want to go back.

Power Manager is $49.95. A 30-day demo is available.
