Apple is providing an exchange/repair program for the ATI Radeon HD 2600XT graphics cards used in the 2008 Mac Pro, and which were also available for sale through Apple stores until May 2010. Apple will replace ATI Radeon HD 2600XT graphics cards that exhibit distorted video or no video, and whose serial number falls within the range of affected devices.

To verify that the card is within the affected serial number range:
- Remove the graphics card from your Mac Pro.
- Locate the serial number sticker on the back of the graphics card.
- Compare the last four characters of the serial number to these sequences: YPU*, VPV*, 1M4*, 1M5*, 29H*, 29G*. (The * represents any character.)
If your ATI Radeon HD 2600XT graphics card matches the serial numbers above, and is exhibiting problems, take it, along with the serial number from your Mac Pro, to an Apple retail store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for a replacement.
