HDRtist combines two popular methods of extending the dynamic range of a photo: High Dynamic Range (HDR) and exposure blending. HDR works by combining exposure information from multiple images of the same subject (taken with different exposures) to produce one image that has an extended dynamic range. An HDR image can contain the blackest blacks and whitest whites, without washing out either end of the exposure spectrum.

Exposure blending actually cuts out the best section of each image and stitches the sections back together. The two methods can produce stunning results, but as many who have dabbled in extended dynamic range images know, neither system produces the best results all the time.
HDRtist Pro combines the two systems to produce stunning images, and gives you control over how the image is developed. HDRtist is a breeze to use, and integrates easily with both iPhoto and Aperture. It can also produce a dynamic range photo even if you only have a single image to work with, although results are better if you have multiple images.
HDRtist Pro is $29.99. A demo is available.
