Moom is a gem of a utility that helps you manage and move your application windows around your desktop. Moon, from Many Tricks, offers some of the windows management capabilities seen in that other operating system, Windows 7. But unlike other utilities I've seen, Moom provides a simple and eminently usable interface that allows you to quickly resize a window to full-screen or half-screen, place it along any edge of your monitor, or perform a few other useful tricks.

Moom's user interface appears whenever you hover your mouse over the green zoom button of a window, letting you choose from multiple window sizes and arrangements.

Moom is great for quickly arranging windows in your most commonly used configuration. For instance, I frequently have a text editor and a live preview window open. This lets me edit code and see the results simultaneously. I like these two windows to be side-by-side on my screen. Moom lets me quickly move the windows into place without wasting time trying to drag them around and get the sizing just right.

Moom also provides keyboard shortcuts and the ability to create custom controls and custom window configurations.

Moom is $5.00. A demo is available.
