Automator, a nifty app that Apple includes with OS X, allows you to automate repetitive tasks quickly and easily. One handy use for Automator is to create an application that will launch multiple apps, open folders, and have the documents you need ready to go, all with the click of a button.

Of course, Automator isn't limited to work-related tasks; it loves to play, too. With a single click, you can launch your favorite game, restore a saved game, and have everything ready to go by the time you get back from the fridge with a snack.

If you haven't worked with Automator, this guide is a good starting point.
