HUE is a smart LED bulb that can be used in any standard home lighting lamp. The smart part is its ability to be controlled remotely though your home's Wi-Fi router. With the HUE app, you can set the color of the light, ranging from warm candlelight to cool white, as well as a wide variety of colors. You can also set brightness levels, as well as use timers to control the bulbs.
HUE will be available in a starter pack that includes three HUE LED bulbs, each rated at 600 lumens (about a 50-watt equivalent), and the network bridge that integrates the system into your home network. The starter pack will be priced at $199; individual HUE LED bulbs will be available for $59.
