Apple Getting Ready for Black Friday

Apple has never been a big player in the Black Friday sales game; it usually offers a selected list of products with discounts up to 10 percent. Apple gave us a sneak peek at this year's deal by accident earlier in the week when updating the Australian Apple Store, which noted discounts of up to $101 for new Macs, $41 to $61 for iPads, and smaller discounts for iPods and iPod touches.

Of course, Apple may offer different deals by country, but it's safe to say that you will be able to find something of interest in the Apple Store this Friday.

Apple's Black Friday sale is a one-day event that kicks off just after midnight PST on Friday, November 23rd.

You can also shop Black Friday deals at Apple's retail stores, which will have special operating hours on Friday. Most will open at 6 AM local time, and stay open till their normal closing time. You can check on hours of operation by using the Find a Store option on Apple's web site, selecting a nearby store, and then clicking on the Special Hours link.

Happy Thanksgiving!
