Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Think Snow - But Not Too Much

Like many of you, I spent today checking off items on my holiday to-do list. In the early afternoon, I did a bit of tidying up, so the house will be presentable when family and friends visit tomorrow. I put out some fresh balsam and cedar candles to complement the scent of our Christmas tree, and listened to some of my favorite Christmas tunes as I wrapped presents. Best of all, I spent the day at home, far from the hustle-and-bustle of shoppers searching for last-minute markdowns or that one perfect gift.

Speaking of gifts, my wife and I decided to scale back this year, and focus on giving one "perfect" gift to each of the family members on our gift list, opting for quality, so to speak, over quantity. My wife reads this blog, so I can't divulge what's in her package, but it's about the same size as the boxes that certain Apple products ship in.

Of course, convincing her that it's something from Apple may just be part of my cunning plan; it may be something else entirely. She'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

I'm still trying to figure out what's in the box that she wrapped for me. It doesn't appear to be the right size or shape for an Apple product. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow, too.

The weather forecast kept changing over the past week, but it looks like we'll have a white Christmas after all. The current forecast calls for about an inch of snow overnight, which is just about perfect, at least for those of us who don't ski.

I hope you and your families have a wonderful Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate), and that you enjoy your holiday traditions and time with family and friends as much as we do.
