Weekend DIY - Customize the Safari Toolbar

By January 18, 2013

Safari is by far my favorite web browser, although I have to admit I also have Chrome and Firefox installed on my Mac. But what always brings me back to Safari is its ease of use. Part of the reason I find Safari so easy to use is that I've been using it for many years. I've also taken the time to customize the toolbar, bookmarks, and status bar to fit my needs.

You can customize almost any browser, but I prefer to use Safari as my daily browser. Two of the custom toolbar features I use most often are Zoom and Web Inspector. The Zoom feature is pretty obvious; it lets me read the fine print on web sites, even when the sites wish I wouldn't. The Web Inspector is a handy tool for discovering how a web site was built.
