Pop-up menus have many uses, including defining the type of data a specific field will hold.

There are many uses for Bento’s Choices field. Here, the Choices field is being used to designate the type of email address (home or work) that is being entered into a field. This is a good use of pop-up menus; it keeps your form from getting cluttered with multiple fields that contain similar data. It also presents an interface that is easy for the individual completing the form to use.
