Spruce Up Your Weather Widget

After you click the 'Add' button in the previous step, Dashboard will open and display the new weather widget, next to your existing widgets. At this point, you’re done, unless you would like to tweak the display option.

Personalize Your New Widget

  1. With Dashboard open, click the Info icon (an italicized letter ‘i’), located at the bottom right of the new widget.
  2. The back side of the widget will appear, displaying six possible frames for the widget.
  3. Select one of the frames and click ‘Done.’

When you want to check your local weather radar, just click the Dashboard icon in the Dock.

There is one little caveat. Any widgets you create with Safari are only semi-permanent. Unlike widgets created by programmers, a Safari widget only exists as long as it is active in the Dashboard. If you change your mind after deleting a Safari-created widget from the Dashboard, you’re out of luck. You will have to create it again from scratch.
