When you install Vista, you will need to tell it what time zone you're in. With any luck, once you select a time zone, Vista will figure out the current time and date. If not, you can enter the information yourself in this step.

Set the Time and Date

  1. Select your time zone from the dropdown menu.

  2. Set the date by clicking on the correct calendar date.

  3. Set the correct time by highlighting the time and using the up or down arrows to make changes.

  4. Click the ‘Next’ button.

  5. Click the 'Start' button to finish installing Vista.

First Login

When the installation is complete, the login screen will display.
  1. Enter your password.

  2. Click the 'Enter' button, or click the right-facing arrow button.

The first login can take a little time, because Vista must configure your desktop.
