MobileMe and the mac.com domain were transitioned and replaced by iCloud, and their services ceased as of June 30, 2012. If you had a working @mac.com email address as of July 9, 2008, kept your MobileMe account active and moved to iCloud before August 1, 2012, you can use @icloud.com, @me.com, and @mac.com email addresses with your iCloud account.

What Were the MobileMe Mail Me.com IMAP Settings

The MobileMe IMAP server settings for accessing your @me.com, MobileMe Mail messages, and folders in any email program were:

  • MobileMe Mail Me.com IMAP server address: mail.me.com
  • MobileMe Mail Me.com IMAP user name: Your MobileMe Mail username, which is the portion that precedes "@me.com" in your MobileMe Mail address. If your MobileMe Mail email address is example@mac.com, the username is example.
  • MobileMe Mail Me.com IMAP password: Your MobileMe Mail password
  • MobileMe Mail Me.com IMAP port: 993
  • MobileMe Mail Me.com IMAP TLS/SSL required: yes

MobileMe Mail Me.com POP access was a simple and reliable alternative to IMAP access.
