Migration Assistant - Select the Volume and User Accounts to Transfer

Migration Assistant can copy data from volumes that contain previous versions of OS X. Before proceeding, turn on any external hard drive volumes you want to copy data from, and mount them on the desktop.

Select the Type of Data to Transfer

  1. Migration Assistant will display any volumes on your Mac that contain a working version of OS X.

  2. Select the volume that has data you wish to transfer.

  3. Click the ‘Continue’ button.

  4. Migration Assistant will search the selected volume and display the user accounts it finds on that volume.

  5. Place a check mark next to any user accounts you wish to copy to your new installation of Leopard.

  6. Click the ‘Continue’ button.
