Monitors

Monitors, displays; whatever you want to call them, you can’t do without them. The display is a fundamentally important part of your computer system. It’s what you will be looking at, day in and day out, as you work with your Mac. Before you buy a monitor, make sure it will meet your needs. Check out the monitor and display reviews from Focus on Macs.
Apple Cinema HD Display 30” Widescreen LCD
The Apple Cinema HD Display 30” is an imposing presence in a room, but it’s not as heavy as you might expect. The large, bright screen may take a little getting used to, but you will immediately love the Apple Cinema HD Display’s bright, sharp images, vivid, true-to-life colors, rich blacks, and crisp text.
Apple Cinema HD Display 23” Widescreen LCD
The Apple Cinema HD Display 23” is a stunning piece of work. It costs more than most other displays in its size range, but it’s worth every penny. Images are clear and bright, with vivid, true-to-life color and crisp details.
HP w2408 24” Widescreen LCD Display
The HP w2408 is a 24” widescreen display that produces eye-popping color and sharp text that’s readable even at small font sizes. The HP w2408 has few video inputs, but its only real flaw is limited viewing angles, particularly in portrait mode, which won’t actually matter much to most users.
HP w2007 20.1” Widescreen LCD Display
The HP w2007 is a 20.1” widescreen LCD display that delivers above average text and images, but falls a little short on features.
NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi 26" Widescreen LCD Display
The NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi widescreen display produces truly impressive color images, but its premium price puts it out of reach of almost anyone but graphics and multimedia professionals. Even pros would be well advised to look elsewhere, because displays that offer similar performance and features are available for much less.
ViewSonic VX2835wm 28" Widescreen LCD Display
The ViewSonic VX2835wm 28” widescreen LCD display is without doubt an imposing display. The ViewSonic VX2835wm's sheer size means it will dominate your desktop, as well as provide a very generous workspace. It’s not the best at reproducing color accurately, but it has other redeeming features.
ViewSonic VX2255wm 22" Widescreen LCD Display
ViewSonic designed the ViewSonic VX2255wmb 22” widescreen display with gamers and movie enthusiasts in mind. But although the VX2255wmb is a perfectly serviceable display, it doesn’t offer anything particularly special for either of its target audiences.
