Keeping your Mac's mouse, keyboard, and monitor clean is a basic task all Mac users should undertake. For some, a good cleaning only needs to be done a few times a year. For others, a more frequent cleaning schedule may be in order. No matter how often you clean your Mac, be sure you clean it the right way!

2. Cleaning Your Mac’s Display
Cleaning a Mac's display is a very easy process, with only a few don’ts but a lot of do’s to consider. We're going to talk specifically about Apple displays, but these cleaning instructions should work for most LCD displays.
You'll also find out how to remove the glass panel on the front of late model iMacs, in order to clean the rear of the glass.
3. How to Clean Older Ball Roller Mice
Tim Fisher, About Guide to PC Support, tells us how to clean mice that use the older ball roller tracking system:
Aside from extending the life of and preventing damage to the mouse, properly cleaning a mouse will make it easier to use and prevent the cursor from "jumping around" on the screen due to dirty rollers.

Lisa Johnston, About Guide to Computer Peripherals, suggests using a can of compressed air to get those hard-to-reach places on your keyboard clean.
5. How to Clean a Laptop Keyboard (Video)
Zack Heene shows us how to clean a laptop's keyboard. The method for cleaning a laptop keyboard is different than the method for cleaning a desktop keyboard, primarily because the laptop's components are underneath the keyboard. These components need to be protected, and Heene will show you how.
6. How to Clean a Desktop Keyboard (Video)
Zack Heene is back to show us how to clean a desktop keyboard. Zack uses a bit more brute force on desktop keyboards, slamming them again his head to dislodge dirt and debris. OK, maybe he only uses a gentle tap of his hand, but in our hearts we know he would have liked to crush the keyboard over his head.
7. How to Clean a Flat Screen Monitor
Tim Fisher, About’s Guide to PC Support, describes his do’s and don’ts for cleaning an LCD display. I highly recommend his homemade screen cleaning fluid, a formula I've been using since Tim told us all about it.
