I started off with the Mighty Mouse when I purchased my Mac Book, and after 2.5 years, the only thing that worked on it was the movement of the cursor. I couldn't understand why the scroll wheel, left and right buttons didn't work until I met an Apple nerd at Best Buy who quickly responded with the "that's been a known problem with that mouse". Crud builds up from oil off your finger and finally blocks the sensors. There is no way of repairing it so you send it to mighty mouse haven.
He showed me the Magic Mouse and within 10 minutes of using it, I fell in love with it. Its smooth to touch, easy to maneuver and every time I stroke it with the touch of my finger to scroll, I feel like I'm petting the mouse. My biggest complaint of these mouses were their battery life, so I purchased the Apple battery charger and the MM life extended impressively. I don't like things wired, everything gets tangled up in other wires and is limited. I love the freedom of wirelessness.
